We’re excited to announce that Karin Weber, our Sales Project Manager at Van Holland Group, took an active part in an enlightening workshop on the promising Flevo-bean hosted by Michiel Klaassen of Aeres.
The workshop explored the challenges and opportunities surrounding protein-rich crops like the field bean, underscoring the significance of collaboration within the supply chain.
Karin gained valuable insights into potential solutions within the protein chain and the crucial role stakeholders can play in driving progress.
The workshop actively explored themes like climate sustainability, animal welfare, health, convenience, and curiosity, underlining the motivation behind transitioning to a more balanced diet. Participants actively discussed adhering to the 60-40 percent rule (40% meat and 60% plant-based) as a guideline for dietary choices.
This interactive session brought together diverse stakeholders, including businesses, research institutions, and agricultural entrepreneurs, to brainstorm Flevoland’s future food supply. Karin’s participation reflects Van Holland Group’s commitment to staying at the forefront of innovative developments in the food industry.
Thank you to Michiel Klaassen, Aeres, and all attendees for contributing to this insightful discussion! 🌱💼
