The story behind Heinen Delfts Blauw

Delfts Blauw is a quintessential Dutch tradition that more and more people are starting to appreciate again. At Heinen Delfts Blauw, we take pride in our craftsmanship and provide a contemporary interpretation of this tradition. In our workshops in Delft and Putten, unique, hand-painted products of the highest quality are created. But our range goes beyond just classic Delfts Blauw: discover our Home collection for modern, affordable home accessories and of course our famous souvenirs.

The origins of Heinen Delfts Blauw lie with Jaap Heinen, a creative entrepreneur from Spakenburg. Inspired by Eastern styles, he began painting Japanese and Chinese Imari motifs, gradually shifting his focus to Delfts Blauw. What started as a hobby soon grew into a serious business, with orders for vases, plates, and patterns inspired by local traditional clothing.

Establishment of American INC for Heinen Delfts Blauw

As a family-owned business with a rich history in creating authentic Delft Blue, taking the step into America was a significant milestone for us.
